In 1994 we were living on the rue Mazarine not far from the Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in Paris. This all-stone bridge that crosses the Seine at the Ile de la Cité was beginning  a thirteen-year restoration. I was given the unique opportunity by the City of Paris  to follow  the project from its beginning to the placing of the final stone in April of 2007.  An exhibit was then held in the town hall of the 6th arrondissement.  Seventy prints were subsequently purchased for the collection of the History Library of the City of Paris.

En 1994 nous habitions la rue Mazarine, près du Pont Neuf lorsque ce pont renommé fit l’objet d’une restauration. Avec l’accord  de la Ville de Paris, j’ai suivi ce projet durant treize ans de son début jusqu’à la pose de la dernière pierre en avril de 2007. Cette même année, à la suite d’une exposition de mes photos à la Mairie du 6ème arrondissement, la Bibliothèque Historique de la Ville de Paris a acheté 70 tirages pour sa collection permanente.
